What to put on product labels
- Brand name and product name

Tips
- In the US, the FDA requires food labels to show the product name, net quantity, ingredients, allergens and the maker’s name and address. Check the rules for your product and country.
- Net quantity goes in the bottom third of the main panel under US rules.
- Upload your logo as a PNG with a transparent background so it sits cleanly on coloured labels.

Questions
Can I add my logo?
Yes. Use “+ Image / logo” to add a PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP. It stays in your browser and is never uploaded.
What label material should I print on?
Matte paper labels suit dry goods. For anything that might get wet or oily (sauces, cosmetics, drinks) use waterproof vinyl or polyester sheets, and a laser printer if you can, since laser toner does not run.
Can I get a real retail barcode here?
You can draw EAN-13 and UPC-A barcodes from a number you already own. Retail barcode numbers themselves must be licensed from GS1.
