What to put on file folder labels
- Folder name in a bold, readable font
- Optional: year or category prefix
- Optional: a colour block to colour-code categories
Tips
- Put the most important word first; folder tabs are often partly hidden in a drawer.
- Colour-code by category with a coloured box element behind the text.
- Use the same font size for every folder so the drawer reads evenly.
